Welcome! Enjoy looking around the Dusty Attic Quilt Shop Blog and be
sure to come visit us at our shop! We specialize in smiles and personal
service!
My husband, Bill, and I are natives of Maryland's Eastern Shore. Married for 46 years, we are blessed with three grown children and one darling granddaughter.
Thirty years ago I looked at scraps collected from years of sewing clothes and thought "I'm going to make a quilt!" I did! And I loved it! Self taught at the beginning, I have learned much and grown with the craft, mastering traditional, foundation and paper piecing techniques and experimenting with new quilting tools and new quick methods. I enjoyed having the opportunity to lecture and to be interviewed on PAC 14, the public television station and it was an honor to have my quilts displayed in Salisbury's Ward Museum.
In the summer of 2001 we converted our cozy family home and opened our doors at The Dusty Attic Quilt Shop in Fruitland, just south of Salisbury, Maryland. I enjoy traveling to teach Workshops and to lecture at Quilt Retreats and Quilt Guilds in addition to vending at quilt shows. Whether teaching or assisting customers, my friendly, knowledgeable staff and I want all "our quilters" to thoroughly enjoy the process of creating and finishing beautiful projects!
Mary Beth is the designer of The WOW! Bag patterns that have been making their way across the country as far as Minnesota and California.
